3D
3D targets are life-size (or sometimes larger than life) animals made from synthetic foam rubber. This is undoubtedly the most popular course with archers coming from far and wide on 3D days.
- 20 or 28 Targets, unmarked distances
- Three scoring zones, plus “X” or “pro-heart” zone
- First arrow to hit scores; 3 attempts, fewer points per subsequent attempt
- Distances up to 60 yards
- Qualifies for Badges, Hearts and League competitions
- Shoot from coloured peg according to grade
